There is the author’s preface written in A.D.1858 in the beginning of Shi Tie and there is the author’s preface written in A.D.1859 in the beginning of Fu Gao. Therefore, it is generally acknowledged that this book was printed in the period of Xianfeng Emperor (A.D.1862 – A.D.1874). But the first article of Wen Gao has the inscription of date in A.D.1868. Hence, it is ascertained that this edition was printed in the period of Tongzhi Emperor (A.D.1862 – A.D.1874). | |
