It concerns Jiaqing Emperor's journey from Wutai Mountain to Beijing, which consists of fifteen stops from the Great Wall as the stop of departure and the Old Summer Palace as the destination. The book lists the name of place of departure and destination as well as the mileage of each stage in the beginning and then separately introduces the stops in details. For each stop, there is a map with the stop number, place name and mileage marked by the side, which is followed by the textual description of geography and history accordingly. | |
